ITS supports the Intelligence Community, Rapid Prototyping Facilities, Premier Commercial Customers, and related end users around the world.

We are excited to be recruiting for the next important piece of our history and new talent, an Engineering Technician I! This position supports the conversion of a Fuselage Tank onsite in Lexington Park, MD. 

The responsibilities of this role may include:

  • Conduct disassembly, reassembly, and installation of components related to the fuselage tank conversion
  • Utilize specialized tools and equipment to perform maintenance and modification tasks
  • Collaborate with aerospace engineers, modification specialists, and quality assurance inspectors to ensure successful project completion
  • Conduct functional tests and inspections to verify the integrity and performance of the modified tank
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including logs, reports, and documentation required for compliance
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements set by aviation authorities and company policy
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of systems and equipment
  • Identify and report any problems, defects, or malfunctions to senior engineers or technician
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
     

Qualifications of this position include:

  • HS Diploma
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to use common tools and equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering irons, etc.
  • Previous experience with KC-130 aircraft or similar military transport aircraft is preferred.
